This is the first time Modi spoke to Biden after taking over as US president. On the occasion of Joe Biden’s swearing in as the 46th President of the United States in January, he was congratulated by Prime Minister Modi via several tweets.
He said India was happy to work in the United States with the new leadership and will work for peace and stability. He hoped that bilateral relations between India and the US would strengthen further. Kamala Harris was also congratulated by Prime Minister Modi on taking over as US Vice President. Her success made Indian Americans happy.
